[Immediately Suspicious. But anyway, Shiki's sitting on the floor of the costume hall with a.) a sewing machine (pink and white) that she found and b.) a bunch of half-created pieces that she c.) seems to tearing apart to make new things while d.) hanging out with a stuffed black cat. She looks up though because that sure is a 12 year old.]

Yeah. Did you need something? [Polite, at least, but also she's really wondering what's up.]

[She looks up, and yeah, that gets her attention.]

You've been talking to Senri, I see.

He's sweet. I don't mind...he wants me to change patrons anyway. [A hand comes up, finger twirling the ends of her hair.] What exactly did he say?

[And what do you want to know, Ray?]

[Oh my god.]

He wasn't wrong. Have a seat. [She points to a throw pillow on the floor.] What do you want to know about her? What she's like? Or what she said? Probably both, huh?

[Back to her project she goes.] She's kind of rude. Like. Really rude. But she understands ambition, I'll give her that...

I kind of got that impression, yeah. She said something like, "the best way to win is to completely discredit the competition" and talked about finding something compromising to pin on the other gods so people would stop following them.

[She makes a face, and soon she mimics a voice that's probably supposed to be Ambition.] "Ambition is about doing anything you have to in order to get what you want. Who cares if it's petty, as long as it gets results?"

So yeah, I'd say she's one of the gods willing to fight dirty.

[...] I'm moving to the winning side. Or a winning side, I guess, since the game can change at any point. I want to align myself with somebody who's not going to totally screw me because they don't like how I'm serving them or whatever. Losing's not an option for me.

I don't know if Senri told you that. But it's why he offered to help me defect. I don't know what happens to a god if they lose all of their followers, but I don't know if I care either. Maybe it'll teach her a lesson how to talk to people.

I don't have any intention of going after any of those. I've had enough disorder and ruin for a lifetime. [But she furrows her eyebrows together.]

She was so unhelpful! She didn't even answer any of my questions, and she said that the past and the future don't matter for the present which is a total lie. I still have things to worry about, and I thought that when I woke up here things wouldn't be like this.

[Shiki, shut up, Ray's 12. She fumes for a little longer, jabbing a needle into some fabric.] My wish matters. No matter what anybody says.

[She calms down after that, quiet and considering.]

I wonder if that's all she knows. She didn't seem to see anything wrong with the way she was thinking. I told her I got it but I left after that because I knew we were just going to keep arguing.

Sooooo a teenage girl. I was totally right. [She may not actually be right, but jeez.] Have you talked to a lot of the other gods already?

Can I ask which ones?

And that's why you're asking me. [Got it. There's a pause...and she decides, sure, she'll help him out.]

I don't think Ambition liked my offering very much. I'm pretty sure she only talked to me because I aligned with her. And the other three seem kinda tacky. [And terrifying.]

I hate to say it? But I can also sort of see why they're here. If all of the gods really did get along, it'd be harder to pick a winner, wouldn't it? Are you going to try to talk to all of them?

Nope. It's the salon. I'm not sure who the pool belongs to.

Those all sound pretty decent...I'll have to try my luck next week. And make a lot of offerings...[Sheesh.]
